Begginer Question: Where and How is the app's backend hosted?

Hi guys, I hope you are all fine. I am a begginer in all this app development thing, my question is that as I see appgyver is for mainly the frontend development part, how the back end (databases,etc) is created and most important Where is that part hosted when I finish the app? Do I need to hire a web hosting like hostgator or godaddy and the connect somehow the app there?

Sorry if this is a noob question, I’m just starting.

What do you want to build. A web app or a mobile one?

a mobile app that could be in app stores or android store

Apps live on the device. There is no need for hosting, unless you want to link to a database or keep images online. Then you need to link to one of many, including google firestore, Airtable etc.
