Changing Password without an e-mail address per RestAPI

Hi everyone!

I am building an app for internal purpose for my company. I am using backendless for the user-login-component. I want the user to be able to change its own password but also give our admins the possibility to change its password for him. We do not want to use the e-mail address. Is there a way to achieve this for example with UPDATE RECORD? If yes, how would I need to set the config?

Thanks in advance.

Um, this depends on your backend. If you can edit the user’s information via a PUT/PATCH request, you can do this in update record or HTTP request. Naturally you should have ACL in place that not just anyone can edit a user’s password – so that an auth token is passed to this backend of yours and checked just so that only the user or an admin can change a password.
