Drop down menu does not work with variables having Value type "Number"

Hi

I have came across with a problem that Drop down menu does not support Number type, I have used this component which takes options from users (in numbers).

SELECTED VALUE of this component doesn’t work with variables having Number as Variable Value type.
(It is bound to an appVars having number as Value Type which is incompatible)

Pls help with with this, any other method for this? Or if I am doing anything wrong with using this component, pls help.

You need to edit the dropdown field component.
Click here:

Then toggle Properties:

Then click the properties menu on the left and change the type of the field to number:

Then Save and Exit.
