I’m making a REST call to get a value from an API call, and I want to use the result of that call to set the image on an image list.
I created an app variable dictionary, and both the data variable and app variable seem fine. But I’m not able to convince the image component that the result of my formula is actually an image.
Suggestions for how to resolve?
You can wrap your result in the
URL function to cast it to the correct type. Also, the validation warnings are just on the UI level – even if your formula results in an incompatible type, the runtime will still execute the flow function/UI binding with the given value. In your case, the image should render fine regardless of the warnings.
We’ve also got plans to improve how to improve the strong typing with “How to fix this” suggestions, which in this case would wrap the formula with the correct type casting function.
