How can I divide numbers?

I have a result like “123456789”, is there a way to format it to “123 456 789” or “123.456.789”? Thanks a lot.

I’m not a developer and this may be a horrible way of doing it:

You can use LEFT_STRIP and RIGHT_STRIP formulas:

Replace the 123456789 text with your number variable.

This use case would benefit from a few more functions! Another option is

REPLACE_ALL(FORMAT_LOCALIZED_DECIMAL(123456789, "en", 0), ",", " ")

Hi there!

You could use a formula function called SUBSTRING for this task.

Here’s a couple of examples:
assuming string is “123456789”

SUBSTRING(string 0, 3)+" "+SUBSTRING(string, 3, 6)+" "+SUBSTRING(string, 6, 9)
results in “123 456 789”

and
SUBSTRING(string 0, 3)+"."+SUBSTRING(string, 3, 6)+"."+SUBSTRING(string, 6, 9)
will render as “123.456.789”
