Greeting from Italy, and happy new year!
I am very new with AppGyver, I have been using Glideapp for one app and while looking for news I found your composer and it seems very powerful.
That’s my question:
Would it be possible to interact with the NFC reader inbuilt in a mobile phone to read the UID and store it in a database, then write a txt on the NFC tag and lock it making it read only?
This would be very useful for the idea I have in my mind.
Thank you very much!
have a plesant day to everybody!
Anyone here who can give at least an idea if this would be or not possible?
Does anyone could please reply to me?
@Mari @Cecilia @Mevi I see you are a team member from other topics, maybe you can give me a reply…
thank you very much!
Hi! NFC would require a plugin that supports it. We don’t provide such a plugin ourselves, but with third party plugin support you would be able to include it yourself. This feature is coming, but it’ll still take some months before we get to it.
Dear @mevi , thanks for your reply…do you have an estimation about when this could be possible? This feature would be the base of the app I have in my mind and if it is going to be available later than 3 months I should probably give up with appgyver and look for something different… Thank you!
Hi! The current plan is to get it out during Q1/21, but as we have been delayed with getting runtime 2.4.X to have no more regressions against 1.9.22, I can’t say for certain, unfortunately. I’d recommend having a look at your options in any case if you’re under time pressure, just so you don’t get into trouble
Dear @Mevi ,
Thank you for your answer. I will be waiting for this to be available and in the meantime I will try to look for some alternatives…
thank you very much!!
Has there been any update on the Q1 release? @Mevi
Magari , possiamo sentirci in privato. Mi chiami . Claudio . PLASTURGICA
Hi! Well, Q1 didn’t work out (what with the acquisition there was quite a lot of other hustle ) but the plugin support is currently under works and will be released in the next major release after 2.7.X releases. Likely the name of the version will be 3.X (3.0 or 3.1 or something).
That means there’s still a wait, as we haven’t gotten the first version in internal testing yet, but hopefully we’ll get the release stable enough soon enough that it will only be a month or two.
This is finally a good news! Thanks for sharing.
I will be waiting for further good news, then.
Have a nice day,
Is there any ETA for the release where NFC will be supported?
Hi any update about NFC I want to start a project but I would need this fuctionality on Android or iOS. Any newssss?
Any update about the NFC integration ???
Hi! NFC integration will become available via third party plugin capability, which we have been working on for a while now. The development is still not complete due to other priorities we had to shift our focus to, but will be coming in 3.X as stated above.
Hi Mevi, Thanks for the update and this version have an estimated release date?
Well, not more than that it will have to be done via third party plugins (a feature that is currently in very first round of internal testing and needs further development).
Hi @Mevi, will NFC be available soon without using third party plugins? Can third party plugins be used right now? I would like to know seriously if any of these features will be released any time soon because I’m working on an app using appgyver that basically works around nfc, so far I’ve been replacing the feature with QR scan in order not to stop developing, but I will need it to be NFC when I release it. So I would like to know if it is worth to keep working or maybe I should give up and look for another product such as Flutter that enables this.
