Trying to make components disappear based on a value on a different component

Hello,

Appgyver is the first No-code app builder I’ve tried, and I have no background in programming. I would really like to build my own metronome app and would appreciate your help.

On the page I am trying to build, I have 16 drop-down components(each drop-down component represents a beat) that are grouped together. I would like to hide or make a few of those components disappear/reappear so that when the user inputs a value between 1 and 16 in a different component, the number of drop-down components matches the inputted number.

I have no idea how to set this up or if this is even possible. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi @Sohri_Kim, it’s definitely possible! You could:

  1. Create a text type page variable, let’s call it pageVars.selection
  2. Bind it to the value of the 1st dropdown, which has a list of options from 1 to 16
  3. For the rest of the dropdowns, bind their “Visible” property (under “Advanced”) to a formula, from NUMBER(pageVars.selection) > 0 all the way to NUMBER(pageVars.selection) > 15 respectively :slight_smile:
