This error is caused by having an image url in your app that does not return appropriate headers, which then causes an error in the build script.
This will be fixed in the new 2.x runtime which will be released very soon.

This was resolved, it was the package name (com.xxxxx.app) was different from my google-service.json package name. App is now building in less than 6 minutes.
